LinkedIn is a professional networking platform enabling job seekers, companies, and thought leaders to connect, share content, and discover business opportunities

What your AI can do here Connector snapshot 2026-08-23

Connect LinkedIn to ChatGPT or Claude with your own LinkedIn login or an API key, and your AI can run 22 of its actions. 14 of those only read and change nothing. 3 can delete or send something that cannot be undone, so those need a boundary you set before anyone runs them.

This describes what LinkedIn supports, which is one half of the picture. Where you start depends on the task and on how much you have handed over before, and no page can tell you that from a count.

Things you could hand over

Checked 2026-08-23

Candidates, not recommendations. These are things LinkedIn supports once connected. Whether any of them is right for you depends on your own work, which this page knows nothing about.

How did last week's post actually do? No prior practice needed

It pulls the impressions, clicks, likes, comments and shares for your company page's posts and reads them back to you, alongside the follower count so you can see the numbers in proportion. This only reads, so nothing changes on the page while you look.

What you end up with. The performance numbers for your recent posts, without opening the analytics tab and reading a chart.

Start with it bringing you the information and you deciding.

Never without. Share statistics are for an organization page, not for anything you post from your personal profile, so a quiet week on the company page is not evidence about your own posting.

Built on: Get share statistics / Get network size / Get organization page statistics

Who reacted to that post, and what did they say? No prior practice needed

It lists the reactions on a post and pulls the full content and metadata of the post itself, so you can see who engaged and with what. Useful before a follow-up, and it changes nothing.

What you end up with. A list of who reacted and the post they reacted to, in one place.

Start with it bringing you the information and you deciding.

Never without. A reaction is not interest. Treat the list as a starting point for a human judgment about who is worth contacting, not as a lead list to work through.

Built on: List reactions on entity / Get post content

Which company pages am I actually allowed to post from? No prior practice needed

It reads the organizations where your account holds a role and tells you which of them you can post to. Worth doing once before anything else, because posting to the wrong page is the mistake that is hardest to take back.

What you end up with. The list of pages you can post from, and in what capacity.

Start with it bringing you the information and you deciding.

Never without. This reports the roles LinkedIn has recorded for you, which can lag behind a change your admin made recently.

Built on: Get company info / Get my info

Can it write up a link I want to share and let me look before it goes out? Assumes some practice with AI

It drafts the commentary around a URL and prepares the share. You read it and decide. The action that creates the share is the same one that publishes it, so there is no saved draft state on LinkedIn to fall back on, which is exactly why this one stops with you.

What you end up with. A finished post about a link, sitting in front of you rather than on your feed.

Start with it doing the work and checking with you.

Never without. Never let it run this unattended. Creating the share publishes it, there is no draft to review afterward, and a post from a company page is read as the company speaking.

Built on: Create article or URL share

How do I get an image into a post without wrestling with the upload? Assumes some practice with AI

It prepares the upload and hands back the reference the post needs, which is the fiddly half of posting an image. You still write the post and decide whether it goes.

What you end up with. An image registered and ready to attach, so the only thing left is the words.

Start with it doing the work and checking with you.

Never without. Check the image is the one you meant before it is attached to anything that publishes. Nothing here previews the picture for you.

Built on: Initialize image upload / Register image upload / Get image details

Before we run an ad, how many people would it even reach? Assumes some practice with AI

It searches the targeting entities, such as locations, job titles and industries, and returns an estimated audience size for the combination you describe. All reads, so you can try several before committing to anything.

What you end up with. A reach estimate for a targeting idea, before anyone builds the campaign.

Start with it bringing you the information and you deciding.

Never without. These are LinkedIn's own estimates for planning and they are not a commitment about delivery. Do not carry the number into a budget conversation as though it were measured.

Built on: Search ad targeting entities / Get audience counts / Get ad targeting facets

What is on our page that we should probably take down? Assumes you have done this kind of handover before

It reads back your recent posts so you can decide what no longer belongs. Deleting is a separate step and a deliberate one: LinkedIn offers three different delete actions and none of them restores a post afterward.

What you end up with. A reviewed list of what is live, with removals made one at a time by you.

Start with it doing the work and checking with you.

Never without. Never let it delete without naming the exact post and getting your yes first. Deleting a LinkedIn post is permanent, it takes the engagement history with it, and on a company page the post may be the only record of an announcement.

Built on: Get post content / Delete LinkedIn Post

What we could not establish
  • There is no action that reads your personal feed or your own profile's post performance. Everything about post statistics here is for an organization page.
  • There is no scheduling action. Anything described as recurring would have to be triggered by you or by something outside LinkedIn.
  • Comment creation exists as an action but is not offered as a candidate here: replying in a company's voice is a judgment call that did not fit inside a boundary we would be comfortable publishing.
  • Minutes and effort are not estimated anywhere on this page. Nothing here has been measured.

BUILT-IN AI Some AI exists, but it is narrow, gated to a higher tier, or hard to find.

No event triggers. Every win in this app is invoked: you or an agent asks, an action runs.
