Facebook is a social media and advertising platform used by individuals and businesses to connect, share content, and promote products or services. Only supports Facebook Pages, not Facebook Personal accounts.

What your AI can do here Connector snapshot 2026-08-23

Connect Facebook to ChatGPT or Claude with your own Facebook login or an API key, and your AI can run 40 of its actions. 19 of those only read and change nothing. 4 can delete or send something that cannot be undone, so those need a boundary you set before anyone runs them.

This describes what Facebook supports, which is one half of the picture. Where you start depends on the task and on how much you have handed over before, and no page can tell you that from a count.

Things you could hand over

Checked 2026-08-22

Candidates, not recommendations. These are things Facebook supports once connected. Whether any of them is right for you depends on your own work, which this page knows nothing about.

What are people actually saying in our comments? No prior practice needed

Your assistant can pull the recent posts off your Page feed and then read the comment thread under each one, including replies to replies. Instead of you scrolling and forming an impression, it comes back with the recurring questions, the complaints that repeat, and the individual comments that need a human answer. It reads the reactions on each post at the same time, so a comment thread that looks angry but sits under a well-liked post is described as such.

What you end up with. A written read of the comment threads on your recent posts, grouped into questions to answer, complaints to look at, and noise.

Start with it bringing you the information and you deciding.

Never without. Ask it to fetch replies explicitly. Comments and their replies are separate reads, so a summary built from the top level alone will miss the argument that happened three replies deep.

Is anyone waiting on a reply in our Messenger inbox? No prior practice needed

The Page inbox is readable, conversation by conversation, with the full message history inside each one. The assistant can work out which threads end on a customer message rather than on yours, which is the practical definition of somebody waiting. Nothing is marked as seen and nothing is answered unless you ask for that separately.

What you end up with. A list of open Messenger threads where the last word was the customer's, with what they asked and how long ago.

Start with it bringing you the information and you deciding.

Never without. Keep the read to the Page inbox and say so out loud to whoever sees the output, because these are private customer messages and a summary of them is easy to paste somewhere it does not belong.

Which of our posts actually did anything? No prior practice needed

Post-level and Page-level analytics are both readable, so your assistant can line up impressions, clicks and engagement against what each post was and when it went out. The useful version of this is not the numbers themselves but the pattern across them, which is the part that is tedious to do by eye. It can pull several weeks at once and tell you what the better performing posts had in common.

What you end up with. A plain summary of what has been working on the Page recently, with the specific posts that support it.

Start with it bringing you the information and you deciding.

Never without. Exclude posts from the last day or two. Facebook returns empty or partial metric objects for very new posts, and an assistant reading those as low performance will tell you your best post flopped.

Who is tagging us, and did anyone need an answer? No prior practice needed

Posts that mention or tag your Page but never appear on your own feed are a separate read, and they are the ones that get missed. Your assistant can pull those, read the comment threads under them, and separate the friendly mentions from the ones where someone asked a question and got nothing back.

What you end up with. A list of recent posts elsewhere that named your Page, with what was said and which ones are still unanswered.

Start with it bringing you the information and you deciding.

Never without. Treat a quiet result as a visibility answer rather than a factual one, since private and restricted posts that mention you are not returned at all and look exactly like nobody having mentioned you.

Can it draft next week's posts and put them in the queue? Assumes some practice with AI

Your assistant can write the posts, schedule them onto the Page, and read the scheduled queue back so you can see what is lined up before anything goes out. If a date needs to move it can reschedule an unpublished post rather than deleting and rebuilding it. Photo and video posts are separate actions from text and link posts, so tell it which kind you want.

What you end up with. A visible queue of scheduled Page posts you can read, edit, or move before any of them publish.

Start with it doing the work and checking with you.

Never without. Read the queue yourself before the first scheduled time arrives. A Page post is public the moment it publishes, and the window between the assistant writing it and the world seeing it is the only cheap place to catch a mistake.

Can it answer the routine Messenger questions for me? Assumes some practice with AI

The Page can send text and media replies through Messenger, and the connector's own note on that action is that it wants explicit confirmation first, because a real person receives it. The workable shape is the assistant reading the thread, drafting the reply, and you approving the send. Opening hours, order status and where-are-you questions are the ones that survive this well.

What you end up with. Replies going out to customers within the hour instead of at the end of the day, with you approving each one.

Start with it doing the work and checking with you.

Never without. Approve each message before it sends and keep refunds, complaints and anything about money out of scope. A Messenger reply from your Page reads as an official answer from the business and cannot be recalled once it is delivered.

Can it clear the spam out of our comments? Assumes you have done this kind of handover before

Comment deletion is available and it is permanent, which is the whole reason to be careful with it. A safer way to run this is to have the assistant read the threads and hand you a list of what it would remove and why, and only then delete the ones you confirm. Editing an existing comment is also possible where a correction beats a removal.

What you end up with. A reviewed list of spam and abusive comments, and a cleaned thread once you have signed off on the list.

Start with it doing the work and checking with you.

Never without. Approve the specific comments by hand before anything is deleted. Comment deletion on Facebook cannot be undone, there is no trash to recover from, and a real customer complaint removed by mistake is both gone and remembered by the person who wrote it.

Built on: Get Comments / Delete Comment / Update Comment

Something went out with a mistake in it. Can it fix that? Assumes you have done this kind of handover before

An existing Page post can be edited in place, which keeps the reactions, comments and shares it has already collected. Deleting is also available but it is permanent and Facebook offers no recovery, so it is worth reaching for the edit first and only deleting when the post itself should never have existed. Your assistant can find the post by reading the feed rather than making you hunt for its ID.

What you end up with. The post corrected in place with its engagement intact, or removed once you have decided removal is what you want.

Start with it doing the work and checking with you.

Never without. Name the exact post yourself and prefer the edit. Deleting a Page post is irreversible, it takes every comment and reaction underneath it along with it, and there is no way to get any of that back if you decide five minutes later that you were wrong.

What we could not establish
  • The Page search action is still exposed, but Facebook restricted that endpoint to Workplace by Meta apps in 2019, so a standard connection asking it to find other Pages by name will usually get a permission error rather than results.
  • These actions work against Facebook Pages, not personal profiles. Posting to your own timeline is not something the connector does.
  • Only the Like reaction can be added programmatically. Love, care and the rest are not available to an assistant, in either direction.
  • No time saving is claimed for any candidate on this page, because none has been measured.

BUILT-IN AI Ships AI features you can turn on yourself, with no developer and no new purchase.

No event triggers. Every win in this app is invoked: you or an agent asks, an action runs.
